MY FIRST POEM OR ADDING TO COPPER30

I am dedicating this page to opening up some of my personal life and the processes that go into the creation of my poems. I will be creating some poetry on the fly and doing my best to really keep this page positive and inspirational
I want to introduce my serious pages to you guys those are located at www.copper30.wordpress.com

There you will find slightly fewer spelling errors and a very moody, artsy environment created just for poets.
I encourage you all to go there and critique my work I am really looking forward to receiving your positive coments.
Now let me try to tell you a little about myself
My name is Dave Knight I live just outside of Detroit though I was raised in Detroit. I attended public schools up until the tenth grade. When I reached the tenth grade I started homeschooling, I also attended Briethaupt vocational tech center where I studied Computer Aided Drafting. My mother picked drafting because she said I needed to get a career where I could use the computer because the computer was the future.
I believe that simple statement is why I am writing you today. How many of us report to work each morning and feel a small piece of our dream die every day. Or how many of us feel that we are undervalued as individuals. This blog is my way of taking back control, I’m going to post pictures and poetry and do my best to give my take on what it means to me to full fill my dream.
I am sitting here in my very modest dining area and I’m a little sleepy and I can hear a poem developing in my head now so I will leave you with this....

I don’t dream about standing in the lime light
I dream about standing when the times right
Taking care of a family having a house and a yard
The days are ahead when things won’t be so hard
The days are coming when the flowers are in bloom
When the drafts don’t blow in thru the windows of my room
My eyes grow heavy but my thoughts won’t concede
And even as much as I write I love to read
