Now if you have been following my blog post at copper30.wordpress.com you know that it is a post of hip hop poetry. Some of you may be saying why a blog? Why not spend your time reading your poetry at open mike night? Well the real deal is I’m willing to chase a dream, just on my own terms. It seems that there is a set of rules to follow I personally don’t know what those rules are. I will say that I am more focus on the fundamental elements of hip hop. Elements apart from rap, flashy lifestyle, or anything negative. I’m focused on the elements of poetry, storytelling, and how the people that rap music speaks to are affected by the spoken word. When you really want something you have to set your own path….
www.copper30.wordpress.com is about creating something , its about taking advantage of an opportunity. It is the back story to the finished product, this is leading up to my book. On that blogs about page I list my address and phone number because I want people to send contributions to my cause. I’m trying to go the self publishers route.
I was told one time that everyone has an opinion, it is almost like everyone with an opinion has a blog I’m trying to distinguish myself from the opinion blogs. I want to add to the culture by creating something. My poetry is something tangible, it is something that I would invite you to have an opinion about. In fact if your blog was about my blog that would be great to me, ok that last line was silly.
